Market Surveillance in focus at EUSEW event

14. 05. 2014

Final outcomes and test results of the IEE project ATLETE II and other related projects - ComplianTV and MarketWatch will be presented at the EUSEW High-Level Policy Conference in Brussels, 25 June. The event covers conformity assessment of energy-related products in the EU. Registration is now open.

The event will present the key findings of some of the most challenging IEE projects on the topic: Atlete II, ComplianTV and Market Watch. These projects focus on the pan-European verification of compliance of common energy-related household products covered by the EU Energy Labelling and Ecodesign requirements.

The aim of the event is to show that pan-European verification of product compliance is feasible and affordable. It is also a fundamental requirement in supporting the European Commission and the EU Member States in their work to monitor compliance with the EU Directive.

During the event, which takes place 25 June 14.30-16.15, ATLETE II will present its final outcomes, including test results, legislative analysis, applicability to harmonised standards, observations, and recommendations to the European Commission and the Member States.

ComplianTV project will present its activities focused on testing energy consumption of selected TVs, as well as checking the proper display of energy labels in physical and online shops.

Online registration is mandatory and is possible via the conference website from 12 May to 8 June.
